Özgür Özel responds to Akın Gürlek's claim: The setup has been exposed!

CHP Chairman Özgür Özel participated in a live broadcast on Halk TV and made statements regarding Justice Minister Akın Gürlek's claims that he "asked for money from Böcek." Özel emphasized that the allegations were completely false and a setup.

RESPONSE TO GÜRLEK'S CLAIMS

Özel revealed documents containing written statements from Muhittin Böcek regarding the slander against him. Stating that these documents include Akın Gürlek's claims that "a bribe was given to Böcek," Özel said, "I exposed this at a rally in Esenyurt 6 months ago. Böcek was pressured into such a slander and he himself opposed it."

Muhittin Böcek stated that these accusations against him were baseless and that he preferred to stay away from the political process due to his illness. Böcek said, "I was already the incumbent mayor, I was nominated and I won. I wasn't even there at that time." Özel underlined this statement by Böcek and declared that the process was nothing more than slander.

GÜRLEK'S SETUP EXPOSED

Özel stated that such a claim had come to the agenda 6 months ago, emphasizing that Gürlek was involved in this setup and tried to manipulate the process. "The slanders of Akın Gürlek were part of a whole, also linked to issues such as a death that occurred in a hotel and FETÖ members still participating in tenders," he said. He also pointed out that Gürlek was the person who "put forward this slander" and that it was part of his plans.

The CHP Chairman made harsh criticisms regarding the methods and setups employed by Akın Gürlek. "Trying to make people appear guilty by using secret witnesses, leaking private lives, and forcing people to become informants destroys the foundations of the legal system," he said. Özel expressed that Gürlek abused the trust of the office he holds.

ATTENTION DRAWN TO TURKEY'S LEGAL SYSTEM

Özgür Özel also drew attention to the collapse of Turkey's legal system and the manipulation of the judiciary. "People are accused with secret witnesses, informants are found by force, and individuals are unjustly put in prison with slanders," he said, criticizing Justice Minister Akın Gürlek's extrajudicial practices and the failure of justice to be served.

"THERE IS NO PLACE FOR SUCH TORTURE IN LAW"

The CHP leader defined Gürlek's practices as a form of "torture" and stated that "There is no place for such methods in the name of law in Turkey," adding that the unjust arrest of people is unacceptable.

Özel expressed that the judicial system in Turkey is being manipulated more and more every day and is coming under the influence of politics. "Law and justice must always be defended. Currently in Turkey, the law is often used for political interests," he said.
