Özgür Özel to Bahçeli... Sending a message to his alliance partner!

CHP leader Özgür Özel said that MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli's statements are in fact a message aimed at his own alliance partner.

Özel said: "Mr. Bahçeli is conveying his criticism indirectly, saying 'Özgür, I'm talking to you, but my alliance partner — you understand.' These criticisms are directed at those who arrested the person he calls his fellow idealist, and at attempts to intervene in the İBB investigation through Fatih Keleş."

In remarks to journalists, the CHP leader addressed President Erdoğan, stressing that municipalities need to demonstrate more effective disaster management in the face of the approaching earthquake risk. "If a step is being taken against earthquakes, we as the CHP will take that hand. Only in this way can we be protected from approaching disasters. It is said that 100 housing units will be delivered by TOKİ in May, but that is not enough," he said.

Noting that housing units need to be delivered quickly, Özgür Özel said: "I must regretfully state that their past performance has not been positive. Two and a half years have passed since the earthquake, yet only 38 percent has been completed."

CLAIM OF A MESSAGE TO BAHÇELİ

Also addressing Bahçeli's sharp criticism directed at them, Özel said: "Selahattin is our fellow idealist — how can they call him a hired killer?" Noting that Fatih Keleş has close ties to Bahçeli, Özel said the operation carried out was a warning aimed at Bahçeli. "I did not call anyone a hired killer," he added.

Reiterating that Bahçeli's criticism contains indirect messages aimed at his alliance partner, Özel said: "Since Bahçeli cannot say, 'Mr. Erdoğan, the people you appointed are treating me this way'..."
