Özgür Özel’s list passes without losses at the convention: Here is the team that will lead the CHP to the elections
The 39th Ordinary Convention of the CHP concluded with the finalization of the elections for the Party Assembly, the High Disciplinary Board, and the Science, Culture, and Arts Platform. The lists, which received strong support from the delegates, brought about significant changes in the party administration.
The 39th Ordinary Convention of the Republican People's Party (CHP) concluded with the completion of the elections for the Party Assembly (PM), the High Disciplinary Board (YDK), and the Science, Culture, and Arts Platform (BKSP).
During the PM, YDK, and BKSP voting held on the final day of the convention, the lists prepared by Özgür Özel received full support. In the 80-member PM, 48 of the existing members retained their seats, while 32 new names earned the right to serve in the administration.
While 1,336 delegates cast their votes in the PM elections, 1,119 of these were accepted as valid. Former Tunceli Deputy Polat Şaroğlu became the candidate with the highest number of votes in the elections with 1,022 votes. Şaroğlu was followed by tax expert Ozan Bingöl with 1,007 votes and Istanbul Deputy Ali Gökçek with 1,006 votes. Deputy Chairmen Gamze Taşcier and Deniz Yavuzyılmaz each received 1,002 votes, while Deputy Chairman Yankı Bağcıoğlu entered the PM with 1,000 votes.
