Özgür Özel's photo removed at CHP Headquarters

The "absolute nullity" ruling issued by the Ankara Regional Court of Justice regarding the CHP's 38th Ordinary Congress has brought critical developments to the party's headquarters. Tensions rose at the headquarters after the court ordered the temporary removal of the Özgür Özel administration and the transfer of duties to Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu and the former management.

EVACUATION PROCESS BEGAN WITH POLICE INTERVENTION

Following the announcement by Özgür Özel and his team that they would not leave the building, security forces took action after an application by Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu's lawyer, Celal Çelik, and instructions from the Ankara Governor's Office.

Police teams cut the chains at the parking lot entrance of the headquarters with bolt cutters to open the gates. Subsequently, the iron doors were broken down to enter the headquarters courtyard.

INTERVENTION AGAINST PARTY MEMBERS WITH PEPPER SPRAY AND PLASTIC BULLETS

It was reported that interventions were made against party members present in the headquarters building and the courtyard. It was stated that police teams used pepper spray, gas canisters, and plastic bullets against groups that resisted.

While tension occurred during the evacuation of those in the building, it was reported that enforcement officers also went up to the executive floor to deliver the eviction notice.

ÖZGÜR ÖZEL TORE UP THE NOTICE

It was stated that Özgür Özel, upon receiving the eviction document, tore it up, saying, "They tore down the father's hearth for this."

Following these developments, it was stated that the headquarters building was completely evacuated and administration passed to Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu's team in accordance with the court decision.

FIRST MOVE AT HEADQUARTERS WAS A PHOTO CHANGE

After Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu's team entered the headquarters, the first notable change occurred on the photo wall on the chairman's floor.

It was stated that the photo of Özgür Özel on the wall, which features photos of all CHP chairmen starting from Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, was removed and replaced with the photo of Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu.

This change became one of the most striking images of the management change at the headquarters.

ÖZGÜR ÖZEL AND DEPUTIES MARCHED TO THE TBMM

Özgür Özel, who left the headquarters, made the following statements in his speech in front of the building:

"We are leaving the father's hearth to return in a way that no one can ever lay a hand on it again. We said don't do this; we said don't be part of a plan to hand the party over to the AK Party because you cannot accept a defeat due to your personal ambitions. We could not make them listen."
