Özlem Vural Gürzel described her admiration for Erdoğan with these words

Özlem Gürzel Vural, who was elected as deputy mayor to replace CHP's Beykoz Mayor Alaattin Köseler and switched to the AKP shortly after, announced that she visited President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at the Presidential Complex following her party change.
