Parties joining the commission to be established in the Turkish Parliament are becoming clear: Here is the member distribution

Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş has requested that political parties submit their names for the commission by 17:00 on Thursday, July 31.

The distribution of members for the commission is planned as follows:

AKP 21, CHP 10, DEM Party 4, MHP 4, IYI Party 3, New Path Party 3, HÜDA PAR 1, New Welfare Party 1, TİP 1, EMEP 1, DSP 1, and DP 1.

THE IYI PARTY'S DECISION

The IYI Party has announced that it will not provide members to the commission. The MHP will be represented in the commission by Deputy Chairman Feti Yıldız and other members of parliament. The DEM Party will be represented by Group Deputy Chairperson Gülistan Kılıç Koçyiğit and other members of parliament.

THE STATUS OF THE AKP AND CHP

The names the AKP will provide to the commission have not yet been determined. The CHP is emphasizing conditions of equal representation and a qualified majority regarding participation in the commission. The CHP proposes that decisions be taken by a two-thirds or three-fifths majority.

PARTICIPATION OF OTHER PARTIES

The New Path Group is continuing its discussions on the names that will join the commission. The Workers' Party of Turkey (TİP) plans to participate provided that the commission is not aimed at drafting a constitution.

The Labour Party will send Istanbul MP İskender Bayhan to the commission. The participation of the New Welfare Party has not yet been finalized. It is stated that the Democrat Party has a tendency to participate. From the DSP, Chairman Önder Aksakal will join the commission. HÜDA PAR will also provide a member, but the name has not yet been determined.
