Preparations for June 27 have begun: Giant banner hung at IYI Party Headquarters

The IYI Party has accelerated its preparations for the major rally to be held in Ankara under the leadership of Müsavat Dervişoğlu. The exterior of the party's headquarters building has been adorned with a large banner featuring a photograph of Dervişoğlu with the Turkish flag and the message 'I am raising the flag'. The banner announces the rally to be held at Ankara Tandoğan Square on Thursday, June 27, at 18:00, while inviting citizens to the square for an enthusiastic turnout.

In the group meeting held in Parliament last week, Dervişoğlu had announced the rally with the words, "I invite everyone who loves the flag, everyone whose passion is Turkey and whose concern is the future of the Republic of Turkey, to Tandoğan Square on Saturday, June 27. Let them come with our glorious flag in their hands. That day, all of Ankara will turn into a field of poppies and will be red and white."

Continuing his calls regarding the rally, Dervişoğlu used the following expressions during his party's group meeting at the TBMM this week:

"I am rebelling and raising the flag on behalf of the Turkish nation. I am raising the flag against injustice, lawlessness, and unfairness. I am raising the flag against those who attack our unitary structure, our brotherhood, our national identity, and our Republic. I am raising the flag against those who have declared war on the unity of the nation and the indivisible integrity of the homeland. I am raising the flag against those who want to sanctify terror, terrorists, and traitors to the homeland. I am raising the flag for the endless pain and unceasing tears of the families of martyrs. I am raising the flag for our police officers who have committed suicide, and for our teachers on hunger strike.

I am raising the flag for those who cannot get the reward for their labor, and for journalists who are detained for doing their jobs. I am raising the flag for those who are imprisoned for engaging in politics, and whose political rights and freedoms are usurped. I am raising the flag for those who cannot speak, who are not heard, and who are not seen. I am raising the flag for equality, for freedom, and for democracy. I am raising the flag against those who came like Harun and became like Karun."
