I wish God's mercy upon our teacher Alev Alatlı, whose passing we learned of while on our way here.

Our teacher Alev Alatlı, one of the most important intellectuals our country has raised in recent times, who was capable of offering new perspectives and was a recipient of the Presidential Grand Award for Culture and Arts, will continue to live among us with her works and ideas. I also wish God's mercy upon Prof. Dr. Orhan Türkdoğan, one of our country's leading sociologists, who passed away yesterday.

"I CHALLENGE YOU..."

Bursa is an exceptional city. Above all, Bursa is the city of the founding. The plane tree sapling planted in Bursa spread across 3 continents and 7 climates, giving strength and power to the ancestors' centuries-long struggle for rights, justice, and prosperity. We have always carried in our hearts the first star of the chain of capitals that stretched from Bursa to Edirne, then to Istanbul, and finally to Ankara. There is no need to even describe Bursa's diligence and productivity.

We want Bursa's 'Century of Turkey' march to accelerate further with the choices made in the metropolitan and district municipalities on March 31. We watch with sadness the efforts of those who have no vision, program, or projects to offer our country and our cities, and who act solely to make the AK Party and the People's Alliance lose. We want to compete with our rivals on the basis of works and services. When it comes to works and services, we recognize no one above us. Whoever claims they can do better than us, I challenge you, come forward.
