President Erdoğan attends funeral prayers for those who lost their lives in the Bolu fire
President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan traveled to Bolu today to attend the funeral prayers for those who lost their lives in the hotel fire in Bolu Kartalkaya. Erdoğan, along with his wife Emine Erdoğan, offered his condolences to the families and relatives of those who perished in the fire.
A fire broke out at the Grand Kartal Hotel, located 45 kilometers from the city center, around 03:30 yesterday morning in Bolu. 76 people lost their lives and 51 people were injured in the fire.

ERDOĞAN TO VISIT BOLU
Sharing a post on his social media account, Communications Director Fahrettin Altun said, "Our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and his wife, First Lady Emine Erdoğan, will pay a visit to Bolu today. As part of their visit, our President and the First Lady will attend the funeral prayers for our citizens who lost their lives in the fire in Kartalkaya."

ERDOĞAN IN BOLU
President and AKP Chairman Erdoğan paid a condolence visit to the home of the Gültekin family in the Kılıçarslan neighborhood, where 8 people lost their lives in the fire. Erdoğan offered his condolences to Yüksel Gültekin, one of Bolu's well-known lawyers, his in-law and former AKP Bolu Deputy Mehmet Güner, AKP Founders' Board Member Habibe Güner, and the grieving family members. Following his visit there, President Erdoğan departed for the Kalıcı Konutlar Mosque to attend the funeral prayers.
Erdoğan was accompanied by Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Numan Kurtulmuş, Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya, Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş, Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan, and AKP Women's Branch Chairwoman Ayşe Keşir.
"OUR HEARTS ARE BROKEN"
Making a statement there, Erdoğan said the following:
"We pray to our Lord to bestow His mercy upon our 8 brothers and sisters whom we are currently bidding farewell to eternity after being subjected to this disaster. May their stations be high. May He unite them in the class of martyrs, God willing. Mr. Mehmet served as my fellow deputy, and we have had a friendship with the family for many years. Our hearts are broken, our souls are pained. We are currently striving to fulfill this duty."
