President Erdoğan evaluates his meeting with Trump

In his statement on his social media account, Erdoğan included the following remarks:

Today, the phone call I had with my dear friend, US President Mr. Donald Trump, was quite productive, comprehensive, and sincere.

During our conversation, we consulted on many regional and global issues, primarily the worsening humanitarian situation in Gaza, as well as Syria, the Russia-Ukraine War, global trade, and the ongoing negotiations between Iran and the US. 

We reaffirmed our will to improve Turkey-US relations, particularly in the fields of defense industry and trade. 

I emphasized that I appreciate President Trump's efforts to end the ongoing conflicts and wars in our world, and that as Turkey, we are ready to provide the necessary support to establish an environment of peace, stability, and tranquility in our region. 

I expressed that I would be very pleased to host my dear friend in Turkey as soon as possible, and he also invited us to the US. 

I hope to come together with my friend Trump in a short time, and I wish for our meeting to be auspicious for our countries.
