President Erdoğan gives a sharp response to the 'pensioner holiday bonus' question! 'Are you trying to provoke me?'

The figure for the holiday bonus, which millions of pensioners have been waiting for, has been determined.  Following the statement made on Monday by AKP Group Chairman Abdullah Güler that the pensioner holiday bonuses would be increased from 3,000 liras to 4,000 liras, all eyes turned to the legislative regulations in Parliament.

Most recently, speaking before the AKP Group Meeting, Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan said regarding the payment date, "It will be deposited into accounts once it passes through Parliament."

"ERDOĞAN: WHAT MORE COULD THERE BE?"

President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan responded to the question from SÖZCÜ TV's Aslı Kurtuluş Mutlu, "Will there be a new regulation regarding the holiday bonuses for pensioners?" by saying, "It has already been announced, are you trying to provoke me? It went from 3,000 TL to 4,000 TL. What more could there be?"

HOW MUCH IS THE PENSIONER HOLIDAY BONUS?

The pensioner holiday bonus has been increased from 3,000 liras to 4,000 liras this year, marking a 33 percent increase. The bonus, which 16 million pensioners will receive, is expected to be paid between March 27 and 28.
