President Erdoğan's message: 'It is a good thing the AK Party is governing Turkey'

AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made assessments regarding the agenda at his party's Extended Provincial Heads Meeting. In his speech, he covered topics including foreign policy, regional developments, and the economy.

"TURKEY IS PURSUING A CORRECT POLICY"

Erdoğan stated that the policy being pursued is correct in his assessment of Turkey's stance regarding regional crises. Erdoğan said, "Turkey is on the right path, in the right place, and is pursuing a correct policy. The whole world is aware of this."

He also used the expressions, "Whether they vote for our party and our alliance or not, our nation also thanks God that we are in the captain's chair of Turkey during this stormy period. They say, 'It is a good thing the AK Party is governing Turkey'."

REACTION TO US-ISRAEL ATTACKS

Touching upon the US and Israeli attacks on Iran, Erdoğan made assessments regarding the developments in the region. Erdoğan said, "The war started against Iran continues to drown our region in the smell of blood and gunpowder. Innocent children become targets of missiles while listening to lessons in their schools."

Stating that the region has been going through difficult days recently, Erdoğan said regarding the attacks, "A genocide network blinded by hatred is dragging our geography into disaster by hiding behind religious arguments."

REACTION TO THE "ATTACK ON AL-AQSA MOSQUE"

Erdoğan also addressed the refusal to allow Eid prayers at Al-Aqsa Mosque. Stating that this is the first time such a situation has occurred since 1967, Erdoğan said, "This disregard for rules is an arrogant attack on the faith of two billion Muslims."

"WE DO NOT DISCRIMINATE" MESSAGE

Touching upon different peoples in the region during his speech, Erdoğan used the expression, "We neither discriminate between our brothers and neighbors, nor do we remain spectators to the suffering of our brothers."

Erdoğan further asked, "In the eyes of the aggressors who have observed no principles, values, or norms for 27 days, is there any difference whether we are Shia or Sunni, Turkish, Kurdish, Arab, or Persian?"

CRITICISM OF THE OPPOSITION

Directing criticism at the main opposition party and referring to CHP Chairman Özgür Özel, Erdoğan stated, "It is a piece of dark humor for an individual known by the public to be under tutelage to criticize Turkey's upright and resolute stance." He claimed that the CHP is "warmongering."

Addressing the economic impacts of the war in his speech, Erdoğan drew attention to global and periodic developments. Erdoğan said, "Incidental situations arising from periodic or global shocks will not deter us from our goals. God willing, we will reach our destination sooner or later."
