President Erdoğan visits Anıtkabir for the 100th anniversary of the Republic

President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan visited Anıtkabir.

President and AKP Chairman Erdoğan attended the official ceremony held at Anıtkabir for the October 29 Republic Day.

After Erdoğan laid a wreath at Atatürk's mausoleum, he proceeded to the Anıtkabir Special Book.

Slogans of 'The youth is proud of you!' and 'Recep Tayyip Erdoğan' were chanted.

The statements of Erdoğan, who signed the Anıtkabir special book, are as follows:

"Dear Atatürk, we are experiencing the pride of reaching the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Turkey, which you called your greatest work, as a nation. During our 21 years in power, we have protected your legacy. Our Republic is safer than it has ever been.

During our 21-year tenure, every moment of which was spent in service to our country and nation, we have tried to protect your legacy with due diligence.

As an administration that has brought Turkey together with the investment moves of its history, we are determined to crown the second century of our Republic with the Century of Turkey.

Together with our alliance partners and our nation, we will crown the second century of our Republic with the Century of Turkey."

MADE A SOCIAL MEDIA POST

Immediately after the ceremony, Erdoğan made a post on his social media account.

Erdoğan said the following:

"On this historic day, when we are experiencing the excitement and pride of the 100th anniversary of our Republic, we will hold drone, fireworks, and light shows on the Bosphorus, and we will perform a magnificent parade with our 100 warships and warplanes. I invite every member of our nation, from seven to seventy, to the Bosphorus starting at 16:00 with their flags in hand."
