President Erdoğan's statement on the fight against FETÖ: We have not been able to root it out

AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke at the commemoration program held at the Gölbaşı Special Operations Headquarters as part of the July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day. Erdoğan emphasized that the fight against FETÖ is ongoing and that the organization has not been completely eradicated.

DETERMINATION IN THE FIGHT AGAINST FETÖ

Erdoğan began his speech by saying, "We are together with you on the 9th anniversary of the treacherous coup attempt. Today, we are at our special operations department headquarters, where 51 children of the homeland were martyred." Reminding that 253 citizens were martyred in the attacks carried out by FETÖ members on the night of July 15, Erdoğan said, "The FETÖ traitors carried out two separate attacks on this location with F-16 jets on the night of July 15."

Erdoğan stated that FETÖ is still a threat, saying, "We have not yet been able to completely root out the FETÖ virus from our system. We will continue our fight against FETÖ with the same determination without slowing down."

LOYALTY TO THE MARTYRS

Erdoğan stated that the martyrs will always have a special place in Turkey's heart. "Our martyrs will always be remembered with gratitude. They will hold a special place in the heart of this nation," said Erdoğan, emphasizing that the younger generations should not forget these heroes.

In his speech, Erdoğan underlined his determination in the fight against FETÖ, saying, "Those scoundrels who betray their state, fire bullets at their nation, and sell their souls for a dollar will definitely pay the price."
