Probability calculations are underway! The 8 cities the AKP wants to take from the CHP
With 28 days left until the local elections, election calculations have gained momentum within the AKP. While the AKP believes it can win some cities currently governed by the CHP, its main target is Istanbul.
With a short time remaining until the local elections, the results to be obtained from provinces such as Manisa, Balıkesir, Bursa, Ordu, Antalya, and Eskişehir are being watched with curiosity.
According to a report by Duvar, the main goal is to win back Istanbul, but calculations are also being made that Hatay, Antalya, Eskişehir, Artvin, Bilecik, and Bolu, which are currently managed by CHP mayors, could be added to the existing municipalities.
There is also talk of the possibility that Siirt, which was won by the HDP in the March 31, 2019 elections but later had a trustee appointed, could be won by the AKP.
In this scenario, according to AKP insiders, 8 more municipalities will have been added to the existing ones in the election.
