Published in the Official Gazette: New decision from the YSK regarding election data!

The Supreme Election Council (YSK) has prepared a circular regarding the use of the ballot box results sharing system. As in previous elections, political parties will be able to monitor the results at the same time as the YSK.

Ballot papers uploaded from all across Turkey will be viewable through the sharing system. In line with the requests of the political parties participating in the election, a secure connection will be established between their headquarters and the Supreme Election Council.

Political parties wishing to monitor the results must submit a request in writing to the General Directorate of Voter Registry or via the Political Party Portal.

The circular stated that political parties are responsible for preparing their IT infrastructure and taking security measures. This system can be installed on the computers of 10 individuals from each political party participating in the election that submits a request.

PRIMARY ELECTIONS TO BE REPORTED TO THE YSK

The Supreme Election Council also published a circular regarding the determination of candidates by political parties through primary elections and candidate selection methods.

Political parties participating in the elections are required to inform the YSK by 5:00 PM on Wednesday, January 10, regarding which electoral districts they will use to determine candidates and the procedures and principles they will follow.
