Question on Demirtaş to Devlet Bahçeli: 'We find it positive'

The weekly group meeting held by MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli has concluded. Bahçeli appeared before the cameras following his remarks at the group podium.

The question regarding Selahattin Demirtaş posed to MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli drew attention. Devlet Bahçeli was asked about the statement made by former HDP Chairman Selahattin Demirtaş on his social media account following the visit by the DEM Party delegation to the Imralı and Edirne prisons.

While evaluating Demirtaş's statements as positive, Bahçeli said, 'Hopefully, Turkey will be a Turkey without terrorism.'

WHAT DID DEMİRTAŞ SAY?

DEM Party members Sırrı Süreyya Önder and Pervin Buldan recently visited former Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Selçuk Mızraklı and former HDP Chairman Selahattin Demirtaş at the Edirne prison.

Following the meeting, a written statement was published on his social media account:

WHAT DID DEVLET BAHÇELİ SAY AT THE GROUP MEETING?

The highlights from the remarks made by MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli at today's group meeting are as follows:

SECOND IMRALI MESSAGE FROM BAHÇELİ

Bahçeli issued a call regarding the second meeting that the DEM Party Imralı delegation will hold with terrorist leader Abdullah Öcalan.

Speaking about the expected second meeting between the DEM Party Imralı delegation and terrorist leader Abdullah Öcalan, Bahçeli said, "In the second meeting to be held between the DEM delegation and Imralı, it must be announced without putting forward any conditions that the PKK's organizational existence has ended, that no results can be achieved through terrorism, and that this bloody page has been closed."

HARSH REACTION TO DERVİŞOĞLU: 'IS THERE ANYONE WHO DOESN'T KNOW IT'S ABOUT THE "CUKKA" RIGHT?'

Responding to IYI Party Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu's 'right of the sword' (kılıç hakkı) remarks, Bahçeli said, "The fact that some turncoats, who are uncomfortable with the birth of a Turkey without terrorism, are announcing in a delirium that two states, two flags, and two languages will be demanded is nothing but a theater of demagoguery. Is there anyone who does not know that the real right those who bandy about the 'right of the sword' without knowing what it means are actually concerned with is the 'cukka' (illicit gain) right?"

CLOSED THE DOOR ON EARLY ELECTIONS, TARGETED ÖZGÜR ÖZEL

In the continuation of his speech, Bahçeli targeted CHP leader Özgür Özel, who has been calling for early elections.

The highlights from Bahçeli's statements are as follows:

"Thinking that problems will disappear by ignoring them is a naivety beyond stupidity.

If a problem has been put on the table and sleeves have been rolled up for its solution, it is out of the question for any subsequent complication or conventional result to disturb the collective conscience.

If a problem has come to the agenda with impositions upon impositions during a difficult period, and a necessity to choose between malaria and death has arisen, then the prescriptions presented as remedies or solutions that will cause an earthquake in the collective conscience will trigger disintegration and decay.

Turkey is a very strong state. It has the courage to take on every problem heading with determination and to intervene within the boundaries of national, spiritual, and historical perspectives.

We are not helpless. We are not ruined. We are not weak. We are not exhausted. We are not captive. We are not weary. We are the Republic of Turkey, which the world watches sometimes with admiration, sometimes with respect, and often with envy.

The words of exhausted political representatives consisting of small people who pose as great have no importance. Apart from these political oddities, a consensus has been formed to achieve the goals of the Turkish and Turkish Century.

We are not acting ambiguously regarding details. We are not wandering on the edges of a duplicitous style. We say what we believe. Because we are thinking about the future of our beloved country and serving its independence. We are intensifying our fortifications against the scenarios of black imperialism that are opening fronts around us.

"IT IS A COMPLETE FANTASY FOR THE 12 ISLANDS TO LIVE WITHOUT TURKEY"

(Regarding allegations that the Athens government plans to deploy Israeli-made missile ramps with a 300-kilometer range to the Aegean islands) Greece's preparations to deploy missiles to the Aegean islands are reckless steps that will fundamentally cripple the aspirations for good neighborliness. Arming the demilitarized islands is a challenge to Turkey. It is dragging the Aegean into a vortex of confrontation. Among the 7 island groups in the Aegean, especially the 12 Islands, which are closest to the Anatolian geography, Greece showing weapons right under our noses is a tragic mistake that will have very heavy military and political consequences. The 12 Islands have been usurped and stolen from the Turkish nation through underhanded tactics. Even if Turkey can live without the 12 Islands, it is a complete fantasy for the 12 Islands to live without Turkey. Pursuing an aggressive policy on the opposite shore of the Aegean will gain no one anything. Turkey will never give up its sovereign rights in the Blue Homeland. I advise the Athens administration to watch its step. I believe that everyone will win with peace.

Tensions with thaws, distances with approaches, and stable relations with sudden ruptures are changing shape in international relations. There are no permanent friendships or enmities between states. History tells us that being strong in the west depends on the peace and security to be ensured in the east. It should not be overlooked that the same principle is valid in the north and south directions of our geography.

"THOSE WHO CANNOT CHANGE THEIR MINDS CANNOT CHANGE ANYTHING"

We will not show patience or tolerance for bad memories and evil-spreading centers to leave the bright days of the future under fog. With cautious optimism, we will hopefully raise the bar in a fair struggle that will not cause any harm to the blessed existence of our state. In order to establish the well-being of the new century, we will fulfill what is required if sacrifice is needed. We know that there is no development without change. Those who cannot change their minds cannot change anything. We say Turkey is a leader country; we believe that a superpower Turkey is rising like the sun. We must unload the baggage that slows us down.

"WE HAVE NEVER LOOKED AT OUR KURDISH BROTHERS WITH A SKEWED PERSPECTIVE"

No matter what we did, we could not explain ourselves. We have never looked at our Kurdish brothers with a skewed perspective. We have never seen them as 'the other.' They have been badmouthing our Kurdish brothers to us for a long time. They wanted to stir up trouble between us. They put every lie and slander into circulation.

We have always advocated that we are the Turkish nation together. What did I say in Diyarbakır on June 6, 2011: "You are equal, honorable, and irreplaceable members of the Turkish nation. You are everything to us. Those in Washington cannot love you more than I do, the peshmerga in Erbil cannot claim you more than I do. The destiny of the Turk and the Kurd has been written as one."

We have not compromised on this view. They are constantly feeding the armed bandits in our mountains. On one side is the Turkish nation, on the other is the Crusader mentality. They hope that we will break away from each other. They want us to be a party to a fratricidal war. They are trying to spoil our relationship. They could not achieve their goals when we were together, and they know they cannot. Now they want results by dividing us. They will not succeed in their ambitions, they will never be able to divide us. The end of the treacherous separatist organization, which has been active for decades to draw a wall of blood between us and our Kurdish brothers, has come. The PKK/YPG terrorist organization is neither the guardian nor the declaration of existence of our Kurdish brothers. The attempts of separatist terrorism to stab the Turkish-Kurdish brotherhood have now failed.

"THE DAWN OF A TURKEY WITHOUT TERRORISM HAS BROKEN, THE CONTACTS OF THE DEM DELEGATION ARE POSITIVE"

The dawn of a Turkey without terrorism has broken. The contacts and visits of the DEM delegation have taken place with a positive course. In this context, everyone who gives a message in favor of a Turkey without terrorism is a party to a valuable effort. The time has come to defend rights and law without delay. There is no other remedy left but to cut the vein of separatism, clear out the weeds, and simultaneously unite in a common history and culture. The sea has run out for the terrorist organization.

"IN THE 2ND MEETING WITH IMRALI, IT MUST BE ANNOUNCED THAT THE PKK HAS ENDED"

After the second meeting to be held between the DEM delegation and Imralı, it must be announced without putting forward any conditions that the PKK's organizational existence has ended. This is our firm and uncompromising expectation. PKK terrorists must either bury their weapons, surrender, or face their inevitable end. There is no bargaining with terrorism. There is no negotiation. There is only struggle.

RESPONSE TO DERVİŞOĞLU ON THE RIGHT OF THE SWORD

The fact that some turncoats, who are uncomfortable with the birth of a Turkey without terrorism, are announcing in a delirium that two states, two flags, and two languages will be demanded is nothing but a theater of demagoguery. Is there anyone who does not know that the real right those who bandy about the 'right of the sword' without knowing what it means are actually concerned with is the 'cukka' right?
