Remarkable statement from Özgür Özel on Selahattin Demirtaş: 'I want to do this...'
CHP leader Özgür Özel stated that he will visit former HDP Co-Chair Selahattin Demirtaş, who is being held in Edirne Prison.
Republican People's Party (CHP) Chairman Özgür Özel made statements regarding the current agenda to Murat Sabuncu from T24.
Evaluating comments such as "Does normalization include the Kurds?" following the appointment of a trustee to the Hakkari Municipality regarding the meetings they held with AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, which were termed "normalization," Özel said, "Currently, normalization does not include anyone. I mean, right now, normalization has only included the 28 February generals whose forensic medical reports have been pending for a year due to their advanced age. And the appointment of Sinan Ateş's wife. Other than that, what kind of normalization? Have the Constitutional Court or ECHR decisions been implemented? I mean, there is no normalization for Turks right now, nor is there any normalization for Kurds."
'I WANT TO HOLD A WORKING MEETING WITH DEMİRTAŞ'
Stating that he will visit former HDP Co-Chair Selahattin Demirtaş, who is in Edirne Prison, Özgür Özel said that a date has not yet been set.
Özel spoke as follows:
“I will visit him at an appropriate time. I want to do it at the right time and on the right ground. I want to do this with Mr. Demirtaş not as a symbolic visit, but as a very useful visit, almost like a working meeting. I will visit him, but there is no date we have scheduled or decided on yet.”
