Resignation wave continues in İYİ Party... According to Selvi, the culprit is İmamoğlu!
Hürriyet columnist Abdulkadir Selvi blamed IMM Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu for the resignation process within the İYİ Party in his column today. Selvi stated, "As Akşener announced that she would not form an alliance, a hand began to stir up the İYİ Party; could it be İmamoğlu's hand?"
Hürriyet columnist Abdulkadir Selvi wrote an article regarding the wave of resignations that has begun in the İYİ Party.
Selvi pointed to IMM Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu as the one responsible.
The relevant section of Selvi's article is as follows:
"1- The election defeat led to Kılıçdaroğlu's departure in the CHP. In the İYİ Party, it is shaking Akşener's throne.
2- After the election, Akşener could not provide leadership that would consolidate the party. On the contrary, starting from her party congress speech, she is tearing the party apart.
3- As Akşener announced that she would not form an alliance, a hand began to stir up the İYİ Party. Could this hand be Ekrem İmamoğlu's hand? I don't know about that, but attempts are being made to force Akşener to her knees to form an alliance.
The result is that if attempts are made to threaten Akşener with these methods, this could backfire."
