Republican People's Party (CHP) Chairman Özgür Özel announced that the wet signatures of 804 delegates gathered for an extraordinary convention demand were collected in a short time. In response, the CHP Headquarters has stated that it is closed to calls for an extraordinary convention, citing a 'precautionary' decision. Özel and his team stated that they would deliver these signatures to former chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu.

According to the report by Başak Kaya from Sözcü, CHP sources outlined the roadmap from here on as follows:

“The delegate's notary-approved convention request will be brought to the agenda at the Party Assembly on June 11. In accordance with the decision to be made there that 'the convention should be convened within 45 days,' Kılıçdaroğlu is expected to make the call. If the will of the delegates and the Party Assembly decision are ignored and this call is not made, the Civil Court of Peace will be approached. The court will be asked to appoint a convocation committee to convene the convention before July 26.

A reasonable period of 15 days will be awaited for the court to urgently take the matter to the agenda and make a decision. If this step is not taken and the request is swept under the rug, all avenues for legal struggle will have been exhausted. In this case, as a last resort, action will be taken for a new party, for which preparations were previously made against a 'catastrophe scenario such as closure.' The possibility of a snap election will not be ignored during the party formation process.”

It is claimed that within the preparations for a new party, a portion of the group of deputies close to Özgür Özel is in favor of leaving immediately, but the majority advocates for fighting within the existing structure until the last moment. Furthermore, it is stated that in the event of an unexpected election, working through an existing political party that has the eligibility to enter the election is also being discussed.
