Mahmut Arıkan, the new Chairman of the Saadet Party, received his certificate of election at a ceremony held at the party headquarters. Saadet Party's new Chairman Mahmut Arıkan receives his certificate of election

Mahmut Arıkan, who took the seat of chairman at the 9th Ordinary Grand Congress of the Saadet Party, received his certificate of election at a ceremony held at the headquarters building. Making a statement after receiving the certificate, Arıkan said, "There is an urgent need for the National View (Milli Görüş)."

Arıkan used the following expressions in his statement:

"When our teacher Erbakan began writing this story in 1969, he was very young. They said, 'A spring does not come with one flower.' But he said, 'Every spring comes with a flower.' He left the National View to us as a trust. We also made a decision last Sunday to do what is necessary to carry this trust into the next 50 years and to leave it to future generations. We promised each other to stand behind this decision to the end.

The situation in Turkey is clear. The situation in the world is clear. There is an urgent need for the National View. We must achieve this in a very short time so that the principles of the National View can prevail and the ideology of the National View can come to power. Otherwise, as our teacher Erbakan put it, 'we clearly see the ground slipping from under our feet.'"

"We will announce our presidential council in the coming days," said Arıkan, adding, "Afterwards, we will all go out into the field together with our National View organizations, all our headquarters levels, and all our provincial and district organizations; we will explain our principles and our projects. We will not engage in the politics of conflict. Knowing that our job is not to argue but to persuade, we will strive to touch the hearts of our people."
