Sharp reaction to the Minister of Justice from a figure close to the government! 'As if he had a mental breakdown...'

Lawyer Burak Bekiroğlu, who made social media posts claiming that Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç's brother, Yahya Tunç, was on the "ByLock" list, was detained under the instructions of the Istanbul Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. The imprisonment of Bekiroğlu, who was arrested on charges of "slander" and "insulting a public official," has caused a stir in public opinion.

Following the incident, Fatih Tezcan, a figure close to the government, reacted sharply to the arrest in a statement on his social media account, using the phrase, "The Minister of Justice cannot manage a crisis." In his speech defending Bekiroğlu, Tezcan said, "If we were to write these things, which minister would remain in their position?"

Bekiroğlu, who was detained under the instructions of the Istanbul Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, was charged with 'slander' and 'insulting a public official due to their duty.'

Fatih Tezcan said, “The Minister of Justice has had a mental breakdown; it is a situation of ‘take him and throw him inside.’ He has been saying since noon that he would be arrested; don't think about courts or anything like that. He was actually arrested. I wasn't expecting anything like that at all. Slander against a public official, something like that. Should the matter have come to this point? An incredible crisis management from the Ministry of Justice. Incredibly bad, very bad. When I call the ministry, the Minister says, ‘Fatih, my teacher, we know you.’ I ask, what do you know about me?

Burak is my brother. Just as I struggle, he struggles the same way. He is no one's man, he does not act as a hitman for anyone. He has no business with money or files. If I find out, with proof and documents, if I knew of such a thing and didn't disgrace Burak here, there is no one more dishonorable than me in this world. I wouldn't even know my own mother or father. The situation is something very different,” he said.

“IF WE SPOKE AND WROTE WHAT WE KNOW, WHICH MINISTER WOULD REMAIN IN THEIR POSITION?”

Continuing his speech, Tezcan said, “Burak Bekiroğlu did nothing, but you are fighting this front war in a very treacherous way. I do not criticize ministers who are on duty. I criticized Hakan Fidan once, I won't criticize him again. I inform the President... If we spoke and wrote what we know, which Minister would remain in their position?”
