Sharp response from CHP to Erdoğan! 'Expert at covering up filth!'

President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, regarding the investigations into the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality and the potential imprisonment of IMM Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, stated: "Moreover, these are crimes uncovered by security forces and the judiciary in light of documents and information coming from within the CHP, before the big secrets still hidden in the bag are revealed. When the big secrets are spilled out, they won't even have the face to look at their own relatives, let alone the nation."

CHP Group Deputy Chairman Murat Emir said the following at a press conference held at the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM):

"He says, 'You will not be able to cover up your filth.' You are the expert at covering up filth. He says 'information coming personally' from within the CHP. This means you are in command of the witnesses and the evidence in the file. This means you are the prosecutor. Are you going to be the President, or are you going to act as the Chief Public Prosecutor? He knows the evidence, he knows the secrets, and he thinks we won't be able to cover up the filth. You are in this up to your neck. You are the trigger-man of this operation. And we understand that the President is preparing an operation against the CHP. You don't have the power for that. You don't have the caliber. You have two enemies. Your legs are shaking uncontrollably. You are afraid of losing your power. One of them is Ekrem İmamoğlu. You are trying to make both the wrist you cannot bend and the CHP a subject of controversy."
