Sharp response from Özel to Erdoğan! 'He is pen pals with Öcalan'

CHP Chairman Özgür Özel answered journalists' questions in Nicosia, where he traveled for the anniversary of the TRNC's founding. Celebrating the anniversary of the TRNC, Özel also announced that they would meet with the families of those who lost their lives at the Isias Hotel.

Özel stated the following:

Özgür Özel also responded to Erdoğan's criticisms of the CHP regarding the coup. Özel said, "If you say, 'Both are equal, and I am on the side of the Court of Cassation,' then your side is the side of the coup; I guess you are the head of the coup."

"HE IS PEN PALS WITH ÖCALAN"

Regarding his greeting to former HDP Co-Chair Selahattin Demirtaş during his speech at the 38th Ordinary Congress of the CHP, Özgür Özel said the following:

"It is very clear that the change in the CHP is keeping him up at night. The real change will happen in the government. We will change the president. He is right to be worried. Criticizing the injustice done to Selahattin Demirtaş is much more explainable than hoping for help from Abdullah Öcalan. Demirtaş was taken into custody and put in prison while he was the chairman of a party, and he is being held there despite numerous rulings of rights violations. Yet, he himself is pen pals with Abdullah Öcalan, the murderer of 40 thousand people."

"I AM THE TRUSTEE OF ATATÜRK"

Özgür Özel responded to the word 'trustee' (emanetçi) used by Erdoğan for him, saying, "I am protecting the trust of Atatürk. One of Atatürk's trusts is the presidential seat. We are counting the days to take it back. The insults he uses are due to the anxiety he feels. We will continue to walk our own path and leave Erdoğan alone with his ugly rhetoric."
