Republican People's Party (CHP) Chairman Özgür Özel took a surprise step ahead of today's press conference, where disclosures regarding the assets of Minister of Justice Akın Gürlek are expected to be made. Özel sent text messages to the mobile phones of MPs in the AKP ranks, requesting that they watch the meeting, which will take place at 13:30.

In a post shared on the CHP's social media accounts, expectations for the meeting were heightened, stating, "The nation already knows the big radish... We will explain the great feats of the small radish. Are we ready for 13:30 tomorrow?"

Speaking at the CHP Parliamentary Group last month, Özgür Özel called on Minister of Justice Akın Gürlek to disclose his assets and used the following expressions: "If he does not disclose them, I will disclose both the real estate held by a police officer at RTÜK and the real estate of a law firm in Çayyolu, Ankara. I am asking the most inexplicable question in Turkish political history to the Minister of Justice, to whom justice is entrusted, and to Erdoğan, who appointed him. I challenge you; you have one week."
