Statement from Erdoğan: "It is a form of wretchedness peculiar to cowards like the Israeli leadership"

AKP Chairman and President Erdoğan, who has repeatedly expressed his reaction to the massacre Israel has been carrying out against civilians in Gaza and has made similar speeches on international platforms he has attended, lashed out at Israel again following the Cabinet Meeting.

Stating that he hopes the Israeli leadership will come to its senses, Erdoğan shared the following statements on his social media account:

"The more the Israeli leadership, which hides under the skirts of the West, escalates its oppression, the heavier the price it will pay will be.

Killing children, women, and unarmed people with the world's most modern war machines is a form of wretchedness peculiar only to cowards like the Israeli leadership.

It is certain that Israel, whose heart and legs tremble in the face of a handful of civilians in Gaza, will be shattered when it comes face to face with a real army and a real power.

We hope that the Israeli leadership will come to its senses as soon as possible without the need for such a painful fate.

We remind once again that the only way to bring peace to the region is through the establishment of an independent, sovereign Palestinian state with geographical integrity, based on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital."
