Striking results from Ankara poll! What is Mansur Yavaş's vote share, and who is his closest rival?
In the latest election poll conducted by ORC Research for Ankara, 46 percent of citizens stated they would 'vote for Mansur Yavaş.' Yavaş's closest rival was Osman Gökçek, the son of Melih Gökçek.
There is less than 5 months left until the March 31, 2024 elections. As the local elections approach, public opinion research companies continue their polling efforts.
Most recently, ORC Research shared the results of its study titled "Local Election Voting Trends/Ankara" on social media.
In the poll conducted between November 12-16, 5 thousand participants were asked whether they would consider voting for the names mentioned for the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayoralty in the March 31, 2024 local elections.
YAVAŞ'S CLOSEST RIVAL IS OSMAN GÖKÇEK
According to the results, 46.6 percent of the participants stated that they would vote for the current CHP mayor, Mansur Yavaş. Yavaş was followed by Osman Gökçek, the son of former mayor Melih Gökçek and also a member of the AKP, with 40.8 percent.

Following these two names, AKP's Turgut Altınok came in second with 34.2 percent, and IYI Party's Kürşad Zorlu came in third with 27.2 percent.
The rate for Adnan Beker, who resigned from the IYI Party a few days ago, was measured at 22.4 percent. Beker was also the name that voters said they would "not vote for" the most. Beker was followed in this category by Kürşat Zorlu.
