AKP Istanbul MP Süleyman Soylu directed harsh criticism at the opposition over insulting remarks made toward President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and his family during protests that have been ongoing for six days in Saraçhane.

In a post on the social media platform X, Soylu stated, "Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is the head of our state and our family. Özgür Özel and his entourage; you are misinterpreting our patience and our decency. You are giving instructions to provocateurs. We take all words spoken against our President, his family, and his late mother personally. Consider yourselves warned… You will face the consequences of this provocation."

43 PEOPLE IN CUSTODY

Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya announced that official proceedings have been initiated following the profanity and insults directed at President Erdoğan and his family during the demonstrations in Saraçhane. Yerlikaya stated that 43 people have been taken into custody in connection with these incidents, which he described as a "vile attack."
