Bolu Mayor Tanju Özcan, who was permanently expelled by the CHP High Disciplinary Board, made a notable post on his social media account.

Sharing a video of CHP General Chair candidate Özgür Özel speaking with a citizen regarding his expulsion, Özcan thanked Özel, stating, "What matters is your intention. Today I saw that your intention is sincere. I express my gratitude for your feelings and thoughts. I will do my best for you to win."

Özgür Özel had responded as follows to a citizen who asked, 'Whether Bolu Mayor Tanju Özcan would be able to return to the party if he were elected General Chair':

"Tanju is my friend, my brother. The Party Assembly will make the decision. The Assembly to be elected on November 5 will decide. If it were up to me, I would host Tanju in my own home; Tanju is our brother, but it is not right for a general chair to say anything about a decision that the Party Assembly will make."
