Syria message from Özgür Özel: 'We will not act like a co-chair of the Greater Middle East Project'

"WE WILL MAKE THE DISABILITY PENSION EQUAL TO THE NET MINIMUM WAGE"

Speaking on the occasion of December 3, International Day of Persons with Disabilities, Özel listed the steps they would take if they were in power. Özel said, "We will make the disability pension equal to the net minimum wage. We will increase the home care allowance for the disabled and the elderly to the net minimum wage."

MINERS' DAY MESSAGE

World Miners' Day is being spent in this land with heads bowed and in a mood of mourning. It has passed in our lands with the cliché that 'death is in its nature.' I have tried to say that it is possible to prevent these accidents. Since 2002, 2 thousand 79 miners have lost their lives. I say to all miners and laborers; organize, join a union, seek your rights, and defend them.

HE ADDRESSED AKIN GÜRLEK ONCE AGAIN

On the remark that Akın Gürlek should go and practice law, Özgür Özel said:

When I read the statement by the Istanbul Bar Association, I realized that I had made a bigger mistake. If Akın Gürlek resigns, he cannot come to the Bar with all this lawlessness on his back. I thank the Istanbul Bar Association for explaining this to all of Turkey.

HE TOUCHED UPON DEVELOPMENTS IN SYRIA

Declaring Assad a terrorist and talking about dividing Syria. They did the opposite of whatever Atatürk said. Unfortunately, as a result of this, millions of refugees came to our country. They receive salaries and find jobs instead of our own poor. They have no peace, nor do they provide peace. Some are still insisting on the same mistake. We must not lose our cool. We should not look at foreign policy as a puzzle system. What falls to the state is to maintain transparent relations, starting with the main opposition party. The Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) must be informed about this immediately. What is happening in Syria is a harm to the country, and most of all, it is a harm to Turkey. Our side is the safety of our citizens. We do not have a single 'Mehmet' (soldier) to lose in this adventure. Turkey is not part of anyone's plan. Syria, Iran, and Russia are our neighbors. However, we must not act like anyone's business partner.

CALL TO ASSAD

My call to Assad: When everyone else is gone, we will be here. Good relations with Turkey are in your interest. A new page must be opened for the brotherhood of the Syrian and Turkish peoples. I am warning Erdoğan. Learn from the past.

MINIMUM WAGE

Those who have more than a year of seniority are disconnected from the minimum wage. Those who said before the election that they would raise the minimum wage 3 times a year did not raise it for a whole year. By the end of the year, the minimum wage will have fallen to 10 thousand liras. They say inflation will not fall if the minimum wage is raised. There has been no raise for 11 months; has inflation fallen?
