While candidate applications for the local elections and discussions regarding alliances continue, it has been learned that a surprise meeting will take place in Ankara. Journalist Serap Belovacıklı stated that Ankara Metropolitan Municipality (ABB) Mayor Mansur Yavaş will visit Akşener tomorrow at 16:00. Belovacıklı reported that the reason for the visit will be cooperation in the local elections.

CALL FOR 'COOPERATION' FROM ÖZGÜR ÖZEL

The IYI Party had announced, with a decision taken by its General Administrative Board, that it would enter the local elections in all 81 provinces with its own candidates. In the CHP, following the change in the party chairmanship, Özgür Özel had called on IYI Party Chair Meral Akşener regarding the possibility of inter-party cooperation.

In recent days, it had been reported in political circles that CHP Chair Özgür Özel and IYI Party leader Meral Akşener would meet.
