The agenda for the new week in the Turkish Parliament has been set: Which topics will be discussed?

The General Assembly of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) will begin deliberations on a legislative proposal concerning Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) personnel.

The General Assembly, which will begin its weekly work on Tuesday, June 4, will address the Draft Law on Amendments to the Turkish Armed Forces Personnel Law and Certain Other Laws.

According to the proposal, the contracts of specialized sergeants who act in concert with terrorist organizations, assist these organizations, use or allow the use of public facilities and resources to support these organizations, or engage in propaganda for these organizations will be terminated, and their ties to the TSK will be severed.

All announcements regarding exams to be conducted by the Ministry of National Defense, as well as the notification of applications and exam results to candidates, will be made via the ministry's website.

Parents of martyrs will also be eligible to become members of the Turkey War Disabled, Martyrs' Widows and Orphans Association.

Contracted sergeants and privates will be able to use officer and non-commissioned officer shuttle services when leaving their duty stations after work hours and when commuting to work.

Personnel who began their insurance coverage after 1999 and were retired due to lack of a position following a Supreme Military Council decision after February 1, 2018, will be granted a retirement pension upon completing 25 years of service, regardless of age, for both men and women.

Contracted sergeants and privates serving in Amphibious Marine Infantry Brigade Commands will receive their monthly salaries with a 5 percent increase in consideration of the job difficulty and risk involved in their duties.

COMMITTEE AGENDAS: FATİH KARAHAN TO MAKE A PRESENTATION

Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (TCMB) Governor Fatih Karahan will make a presentation to the TBMM Planning and Budget Committee. This will be Karahan's first meeting with members of parliament since taking office.

The TBMM Research Commission on the İliç Mining Accident will hear from officials of Anagold Mining, which operates the mine in the İliç district of Erzincan where a landslide occurred.

The Foreign Affairs Committee will discuss 15 legislative proposals regarding international agreements.

The Committee on Equal Opportunity for Women and Men will also discuss the Draft Law on the Approval of the Host Country Agreement concluded by way of an exchange of letters between Turkey and the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women regarding the establishment of a UN Women Country Office in Ankara.

The Committee on Public Works, Reconstruction, Transportation and Tourism is expected to begin deliberations on the Draft Law on Amendments to the Turkish Civil Aviation Law and Certain Other Laws and Decree-Laws, which was submitted to the Speaker of the Parliament with the signatures of AKP deputies.

According to this proposal, the anchoring fee tariff will be determined by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, not to exceed 2 liras per gross ton of the vessel, taking into account factors such as the vessel's voyage, duration of stay at anchor, monthly or annual lump-sum payments, the reason for anchoring, and the location of the anchorage for a one-day stay.

Pilotage and tugboat services provided during passage through the Istanbul and Çanakkale Straits will be carried out by the General Directorate of Coastal Safety in accordance with the procedures and principles determined by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure.

Those providing pilotage and tugboat services at sea will be subject to administrative fines ranging from 100 thousand liras to 2 million liras, depending on the nature of the violation, if they act in contravention of the established obligations.

Aviation security measures will also be carried out by private security guards under the supervision of general law enforcement to ensure the safety of life and property and to prevent illegal acts against aircraft, aviation facilities, and individuals.

Passengers who do not consent to a manual search of themselves or their belongings if technical device screenings at airports cannot be concluded will not be admitted to the airport or the aircraft.

On Tuesdays and Wednesdays, the political parties with groups in the Parliament will hold their group meetings.
