Syrian President Ahmed al-Shara arrived in Turkey unexpectedly and met with AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in Istanbul. In the statement made following the meeting, it was noted that Erdoğan is hopeful about the future of Syria and that Turkey will continue its support for Syria.

FACTORY VISIT IN SAKARYA

Shara traveled to Sakarya together with Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler. According to the report by Söz Sakarya newspaper, he visited the Tank Pallet Factory located in Arifiye and operated by BMC. Shara was accompanied on this trip by Sakarya Governor Rahmi Doğan, Metropolitan Mayor Yusuf Alemdar, and other local officials.

Shara, who examined the Altay tank and the tank engines produced at the factory, later had a meal at a hotel in Sapanca. No photographs were shared regarding Shara's trip following the visit.
