The 'Butlan' CHP convenes: Municipal operations on the agenda
A critical step has been taken in evaluating and monitoring the judicial and administrative processes concerning CHP municipalities and party officials; the Local Governments Legal Processes Review and Evaluation Board held its first meeting at the Headquarters.
The Local Governments Legal Processes Review and Evaluation Board, established by Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who returned to the CHP Chairmanship following a court ruling, met to determine the method to be followed regarding administrative and judicial proceedings against CHP-run municipalities and high-level party officials. The board's first meeting lasted approximately two hours.
In this meeting, which Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu attended in person, the board's working principles and past steps were reviewed, and a calendar for the new term was established. Emphasizing that the board should conduct all its preparations within the framework of the principles of impartiality and fairness, Kılıçdaroğlu asked the members to carry out an "objective, fair, and meticulous" study.
Party sources providing information about the meeting stated that board members would examine the cases in depth according to their areas of expertise and that the interim and final reports prepared would be submitted to Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu. It was stated that the reports to be prepared would serve as a guide for the CHP in forming its policies regarding these processes against the government, and would also be kept in the party's archives.
