The “merger” negotiations between the DEVA Party and the Future Party, which have been ongoing for some time, are continuing at the leadership level.

Both parties view it positively. The important thing was for this desire to emerge. The DEVA-Future Party has set up a table to merge, but there is still a long way to go. A preliminary study has been conducted; now the leaders will talk and reach an agreement. A new party structure where both chairmen will be within the system is being discussed. We want to create a new center in politics. A new center of attraction could be created for many politicians who have not left the AK Party due to the divided image or who have left and are standing on the sidelines. We expect to reach a conclusion before the year ends.”

A GROUP WILL BE FORMED IN PARLIAMENT

If the two parties decide to merge, a group will be formed in Parliament. Party officials state that if a merger decision is made, many technical processes will be required, such as the two parties convening their congresses to approve this decision and then holding the congress of the new party, but if an agreement is reached, these could be implemented in a very short time. Party members note that if everything goes well, they will strive to have the group established before the budget negotiations in Parliament begin.
