The DEM Party detail that left its mark on the Istanbul poll! What is İmamoğlu’s vote share?

Turkey will head to the polls for local elections in 2 months. Istanbul is at the top of the list of cities where the critical election is most anticipated.

The AKP, which aims to win back the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality it lost in 2019, has fielded Murat Kurum against IMM Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu.

The IYI Party, which decided to enter the local elections 'freely and independently', has nominated Buğra Kavuncu in Istanbul.

Whether the DEM Party will field a candidate in Istanbul is being awaited with curiosity.

ISTANBUL POLL FROM METROPOLL RESEARCH

While political parties continue their local election campaigns, public opinion research companies have also accelerated their election polls.

Journalist İsmail Saymaz shared the results of the poll conducted by Metropoll Research for Istanbul in his column in Sözcü.

Saymaz reported the following results:

"MetroPoll Research focused on the Istanbul elections in its January poll. A four-candidate poll was prepared for the first time.

The question asked was, “Which candidate would you vote for in the upcoming local elections for the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality?”

İmamoğlu received 41.6 percent, Murat Kurum 38 percent, the DEM Party candidate 5.6 percent, and the IYI Party candidate 2.9 percent. 11.9 percent said “I have no opinion.”

63.8 percent of IYI Party supporters are voting for İmamoğlu, and 24.1 percent for their own candidate... As for DEM Party supporters, 61.7 percent are voting for their own candidate, and 34.8 percent for İmamoğlu."
