Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who was elected chairman at the 33rd Ordinary Congress of the CHP in 2010 and has held this position uninterruptedly for 13 years, will hand over this duty to Özgür Özel tomorrow.

THE FIRST TEST IS THE LOCAL ELECTIONS

With Özgür Özel taking over the chairmanship, a new era will begin in the CHP. The first test for Özel, who has taken the title of the party's 8th Chairman, will be the local elections.

Özgür Özel, who will hold his first meeting with the Party Assembly (PM) on Saturday, November 11, will consult with members to form the Central Executive Board (MYK), known as the "A-team."

It is stated that Özgür Özel's new MYK will be comprehensive and will make appointments for every field.

Özel, who will chair the first meeting of the new MYK to be held on Monday, November 13, will address the deputies at the group meeting for the first time as chairman on Tuesday.

ÖZEL WILL GO TO HATAY FIRST, THEN OSMANIYE

Özgür Özel is expected to make his first domestic visit as chairman to the earthquake-stricken region of Hatay on Thursday. After Hatay, Özel will visit Osmaniye, which he calls his "second hometown."

It is stated that during his chairmanship, Özel will meet with the party organization more frequently, as he promised at the congress, and will make decisions together with them. In this context, Özel, who is expected to meet with congress delegates every 6 months, will also meet with provincial chairmen more frequently.

Özel will hold his first meeting with provincial chairmen on November 18-19.

Özgür Özel is also expected to convene a "statute congress" in the coming weeks for a more democratic statute, which was included in his "change" messages.

It is stated that Özel, who will also evaluate the previous administration's work in this direction, will ensure that every person to be assigned a duty, from mayors to deputies, is determined by primary elections with the new statute.
