Trial seeking prison sentence and political ban for Kılıçdaroğlu to be held on November 22
The hearing for the case in which a prison sentence and a political ban are requested for former CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu will be held on November 22. Kılıçdaroğlu will be tried over statements he made regarding corruption allegations.
Celal Çelik, the lawyer for the 7th Chairman of the CHP, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, announced that the hearing for the case in which a prison sentence and a political ban are requested for Kılıçdaroğlu will be held on Friday, November 22, at the Ankara 57th Criminal Court of First Instance.
Çelik stated, "Our Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu has decided to attend the hearing of the case, which seeks up to 11 years and 8 months in prison and a political ban."

Sharing on his social media account, Çelik used the following expressions:
"Upon the complaint of Erdoğan, who was disturbed by the expression of corruption realities, the prosecutor's offices took action and, in accordance with the instructions they received, filed lawsuits against our Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu seeking imprisonment and a political ban. It will be held on November 22 at 14.00 at the Ankara 57th Criminal Court of First Instance. Our Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu has decided to attend the hearing of the case, which seeks up to 11 years and 8 months in prison and a political ban. With the knowledge that rather than just making a defense, we will hold them accountable and prove all the realities of corruption... Bring it on."

WHAT HAPPENED?
On the other hand, it was learned that the case in question was filed due to the statements Kılıçdaroğlu made against the then-Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan following the December 17-25, 2013, corruption investigations.
