TRT shares Bahçeli's statement on Demirtaş
MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli stated that the release of Selahattin Demirtaş would yield positive results for Turkey. TRT announced this statement on its social media accounts.
The European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) found the re-arrest of Selahattin Demirtaş within the scope of the Kobani Case to be legally problematic and finalized its ruling of violation. Following this development, the Ministry of Justice filed an application for the case to be re-examined by the Grand Chamber of the ECHR. However, with the finalization of the decision, the release of Demirtaş has come to the agenda.
Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Chairman Devlet Bahçeli, in a statement to journalists after his party's group meeting, expressed that the release of Demirtaş as a result of legal processes would be positive for Turkey. Bahçeli said, "Mr. Demirtaş has reached a result through legal channels. His release will be beneficial for Turkey."
