Ümit Özdağ reacts to Diyarbakır Bar Association's statement: 'We participated with 3 Bar Associations from the Kurdistan region'

Zafer Party Chairman Prof. Dr. Ümit Özdağ has strongly reacted to a statement made by the President of the Diyarbakır Bar Association. Declaring the statement a "crime," Özdağ announced that they would initiate legal proceedings regarding the matter. In his statement, Özdağ emphasized that no region in Turkey can be defined as "Kurdistan."

CRITICISM OF THE NEGOTIATION PROCESS WITH THE PKK

Özdağ also drew attention to the ongoing negotiation process between Turkey and the PKK terrorist organization. Bringing up the "Öcalan Commission" established in the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM), where the ideas of Abdullah Öcalan are being discussed, Özdağ stated that the discussions held in this commission and the organizations invited to it pose a threat to the indivisible integrity of the country.

CRIMINAL COMPLAINT AGAINST THE DİYARBAKIR BAR ASSOCIATION

Following the Diyarbakır Bar Association President's statement, Özdağ announced that the Zafer Party has taken the matter to the judiciary by filing a criminal complaint. "To speak of Kurdistan on the territory of the Republic of Turkey means to equate certain Turkish bar associations with those of another country," said Özdağ, emphasizing that this statement is an attitude targeting Turkey's integrity.

The Zafer Party leader stated that the remark is the product of a separatist mentality and added that from now on, every necessary step will be taken against such statements, not only politically but also legally. "This mentality is hostile to the Republic of Turkey and the Turkish nation. We will respond legally," he said.

ÖZDAĞ: "IF THIS CONTINUES, WE WILL PURSUE LEGAL PROCESSES"

Stating that the Zafer Party will fight against all kinds of actions and statements made against the indivisible integrity of the state and the nation, Özdağ said, "As the Zafer Party, we will continue to pursue legal processes against such statements."
