Striking Kılıçdaroğlu confession from Ümit Özdağ! 'There are things I haven't told...'

Zafer Party Chairman Ümit Özdağ made statements regarding the current agenda.

Speaking to Saygı Öztürk from Sözcü, Özdağ said that 30.5 million people in Turkey receive social assistance, and that consuming without producing or working has become a habit. Özdağ warned, "The end of nations that make this a habit is disaster, and we are currently experiencing that disaster." Stating that millions of people have been disconnected from working life due to aid, Özdağ attributed the inability to find workers despite such a large population to the fact that people have been detached from the business world through misguided social assistance policies.

"THERE IS NO EFFORT TO GET CLOSER TO US"

Speaking about the 'normalization period' that began in politics following the meeting between CHP Chairman Özgür Özel and AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Özdağ said the following:

"They say of Erdoğan, 'He chooses his own opponent.' It seems he has chosen Mr. Özgür as his opponent. The process of Mr. Özgür coming to the forefront has begun. There is a long time until the elections. There will be no early general election for at least two years. If it's not on the agenda, it's 4 years. Let's see who lives and who dies. All of this is an indication that Erdoğan knows politics well and does it well; one must be careful. Apart from the support and rapprochement of our citizens, there is no effort from any political party to get closer to us."

"MS. MERAL DID IT KNOWINGLY"

Özdağ spoke as follows about Meral Akşener, who decided to hold a convention and stepped down as chairwoman after the local elections:

"After Meral Akşener first ensured that some Turkish Nationalist figures left the party and triggered the process that led to my departure, she actually determined her own fate and arrived at this point. Ms. Meral and I, who formed the founding board of the IYI Party, ended up leaving our party in different ways. Akşener is one of the people who knows Turkish politics well and, in her own words, has strong follow-up skills; she knows the relationships between people and knows personal psychologies very well. She is a good politician, but she did not do these things without knowing; she did them knowingly. She knew this result would emerge. But I don't know why she did it this way."

"IT IS BETWEEN MR. KEMAL AND ME"

When reminded that he met with Kılıçdaroğlu during his presidential candidacy and disclosed the content of the meeting three days later, Özdağ said:

"I didn't tell the conversation between us, I told about the written document. You voted for the Zafer Party as a voter, wouldn't you want to know? I haven't told some things about the content of that conversation, and I won't. They will go to the grave with me."
