While Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin's use of the phrase 'explaining it as if to a moron' in response to criticisms regarding the LGS (High School Entrance System) sparked widespread backlash, Muharrem İnce, who recently joined the CHP, lashed out at Tekin in a post on his social media account.

'Uncanny Yusuf' controversy: Muharrem İnce responds to Minister of National Education Tekin

As criticisms regarding the centralized exam within the scope of the High School Entrance System (LGS) continue, statements made by Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin have ignited a new political tension. Tekin responded to the criticisms directed at the exam process by saying, "We are explaining it clearly, as if to a moron, but they are not satisfied; they still continue."

While these remarks were met with public backlash, Muharrem İnce, the former leader of the Homeland Party who recently joined the CHP, attacked Tekin with a harsh statement.

RESPONSE FROM MUHARREM İNCE ON SOCIAL MEDIA

Making a statement via his X (formerly Twitter) account, İnce responded sharply to both the LGS process and Tekin's tone. Stating that he is "trying to protect his seat to please his master," İnce targeted Tekin by recalling the problems experienced in education with the following words:

"Mindless, low-level, and 'Uncanny' (Tekinsiz) Yusuf, instead of trying to guarantee your seat by pleasing your master; first put soap in the schools, then clean up the foul odors coming from the Ministry of National Education. There is suspicion in your exams, nepotism in your interviews, and ideological imposition in your schools. Your duty is not to engage in politics, but to provide equal and quality education to children."

"YOUNG PEOPLE ARE AWARE OF EVERYTHING"

Arguing that Tekin acts far from transparent instead of building trust in the exam system, İnce stated that the LGS results should be examined by an independent commission. He continued his words as follows:

"You are stealing our children's future so you don't have to get up from the Ministry seat you have soiled. There is no limit to your theft; young people know this best. You did not announce which schools the LGS top scorers are from! I said let an independent commission examine the LGS results, you remained deaf! If you trust the exam you conducted, do these things first!"

WHAT DID TEKIN SAY?

Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin had previously denied the allegations of suspicion regarding the LGS in a statement and used the following expressions in response to the reactions:

"Our inspectors conducted their examinations immediately. We are explaining it, we are saying this. I apologize very much. We are explaining it clearly, as if to a moron. But they are not satisfied; they still continue."
