Veli Ağbaba lashes out at AKP over Israel policies: 'Shame on this hypocrisy'

The fact that the AKP continues its trade with Israel despite all the backlash continues to spark new debates in the public eye.

Reminding the assembly of the ongoing debates during his speech in Parliament, CHP Malatya MP Veli Ağbaba caused the atmosphere to become tense.

As AKP and CHP benches exchanged interventions, a long-lasting verbal altercation took place between the parties in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM).

"YOU HAVE NO PLACE TO HIDE, YOU HYPOCRITES"

Finally, characterizing the AKP's ambivalent stance on Israel's policies as 'hypocrisy,' CHP Malatya MP Veli Ağbaba directed harsh criticisms at the AKP from the parliamentary podium.

While Ağbaba's statements drew sharp reactions from the AKP benches, tensions rose in Parliament following the speech, leading to a confrontation between the ruling party and the opposition.

Ağbaba brought documents to the TBMM podium alleging that the AKP is trading with Israel, and attacked the AKP benches, stating, "You have no place to hide. You hypocrites. On one hand, you shed tears for Gaza, and on the other, you carry fuel for Israeli jets. Shame on this hypocrisy."

ÖZLEM ZENGİN RESPONDED

AKP Group Deputy Chair Özlem Zengin took the podium following Ağbaba's remarks to respond to the claims. Claiming that the CHP does not condemn Israel and is hiding the real culprit, Zengin stated that the AKP government provides full support to Palestine.
