Bahçeli's 'you are very active, mashallah' comment to Özel: They met at the presidential election

The election for the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly was held in the General Assembly. In the election where candidates from five parties competed, the AKP re-nominated the current Speaker of the Parliament, Numan Kurtulmuş.

The DEM Party's candidate was Diyarbakır MP Osman Cengiz Çandar, the İYİ Party's candidate was Istanbul MP Mustafa Cihan Paçacı, and the CHP's candidate was Artvin MP Uğur Bayraktutan. The New Way group nominated Saadet Party Samsun MP Mehmet Kahraman as their candidate. 

Political party leaders went to Parliament to cast their votes for the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly. A notable development took place in the parliamentary lobby. CHP Chairman Özgür Özel met with Devlet Bahçeli, who had arrived at Parliament to vote, in the lobby.

After shaking hands, Bahçeli said to Özgür Özel, "I am following you closely, you are very active, mashallah. I wish you success." Özel replied to Bahçeli by saying, "Thank you."
