Mahmut Tanal furious after seeing meatless kebab! Criticizes AKP's economic policies

CHP Şanlıurfa Deputy Mahmut Tanal, during a visit to the vegetable and fruit market in Şanlıurfa, stopped a tradesman after seeing a tray kebab in his hand and asked why there was no meat in it.

"In the past, there used to be meat in these trays in Urfa, now I look and there is none!" a citizen said, to which another citizen replied, "Meat used to be cheap, we would buy it and feed our children, now we can't even see the meat." Tanal then asked, "Well then, if they can't see it, why does Urfa support the AKP so much?"

Tanal noted the following in his post:

"THERE IS NO LONGER MEAT IN THE TRAY"

''In Şanlıurfa, it is traditional to send a tray to the oven filled with meat, peppers, eggplant, and tomatoes. This tray was the blessing of the table. However, today, when we visited the Şanlıurfa Vegetable and Fruit Market Complex with our Provincial Chairman Mr. Ferhat Karadağ, we saw how this tradition has surrendered to poverty. There is no longer meat in the tray! Vegetables are expensive, fruit is inaccessible, and meat has become a dream. The AKP's economic policies have taken meat from the tables, fruit from the markets, and the last penny from the people's pockets. All that remains in the hands of the poor is the tray.''
