New post from İmamoğlu while in custody! He shared his mother's words: 'Don't be sad, mother!'

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu was taken into custody yesterday morning as part of an investigation launched against him. Following the moment he was taken into custody, İmamoğlu made a post on his social media account, sharing his mother's emotional words. Including his mother's words in his post, İmamoğlu displayed a strong stance by adding the message, "Don't be sad, mother."

İmamoğlu’s mother expressed her feelings about her son as follows:

“I am angry at what is being done to him; I do not like politics. I said it at the very beginning, I told him, ‘My son, do not get into this business.’ What has my son not done, yet he never received any thanks. Now I will be asked about his candidacy; I said from the start that I didn't want it, but now I do. May no harm come to my son, but let him be a candidate.”

İmamoğlu responded to his mother's words by saying, “Don't be sad, mother, these days will pass... This struggle is the struggle of mothers and children!”
