Video response from Özgür Özel to Bahçeli: He shared Bahçeli's 'junta' remarks

The war of words between CHP Chairman Özgür Özel and MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli continues. Özgür Özel gave a striking response to Bahçeli's reaction to the "junta leader" label directed at President Erdoğan, in which Bahçeli had stated, "The slander of calling our President a junta leader is a complete mental blackout."

THE JUNTA POLEMIC CONTINUES

In a post on his official social media account, Özel shared footage of a speech Bahçeli gave years ago at a parliamentary group meeting. In the video, Bahçeli uses the following expressions:

“The ruling mentality, which cuts off the breath of justice, is establishing its own law in a way that makes one miss the days of junta administrations.”

With this post, Özel reminded the public of the harsh criticism Bahçeli once directed at Erdoğan, indicating that his current words contradict his past statements.
