Üsküdar Mayor Dedetaş reacts to 'İmamoğlu' case! 'There is no salvation alone!'

Üsküdar Mayor Sinem Dedetaş reacted to the arrest of Ekrem İmamoğlu.

Speaking exclusively to 12punto at the Üsküdar district headquarters, Dedetaş said the following:

"We are at the Üsküdar District Headquarters. We are actually seeing how our nation is defending its own will, and democracy in the person of Mayor Ekrem. We are going through dark days, we are all in deep sorrow. But on the other hand, the Turkish people are showing serious solidarity. There is high participation in all provinces and districts right now. What I observed and followed while coming here, and what I am actually proud of on the other hand, is this: We are demonstrating today how the Turkish nation defends its own rights and its own will through the ballot box. We want this lawlessness to end. We want justice to prevail. If there is a crime, if there is a culprit, our state will of course pursue it, but it must be done in a fair manner. We want it to happen. We are striving for this. We see that the votes cast today actually show that a vast majority of the Turkish people share this desire. This is a gratifying thing.

One addition must be made regarding the youth. Young people are raising their voices on the streets against this lawlessness, they are locked together. We have a slogan: 'There is no salvation alone, either all together or none of us!'"
