Which names are coming to the forefront for the AKP's IMM candidate?

There is less than 6 months left until the local elections. While alliance discussions continue on the opposition front, the AKP aims to win back the metropolitan municipalities it lost in 2019, starting with Istanbul.
Sözcü columnist İsmail Saymaz wrote that in a recent study conducted by the AKP Headquarters, which is continuing its search for a candidate in Istanbul, the question of “the image of AK Party politicians in Istanbul” was asked.
According to what Saymaz reported, the image of Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca among voters stands at 52.8 percent, and his image among AKP members stands at 78.3 percent.
In second place comes former Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Murat Kurum. Kurum's image among voters reaches 42.2 percent, and 74.1 percent among AKP members.
In third place is former Minister of Interior Süleyman Soylu, and in fourth place is Esenler Mayor Tevfik Göksu.
The question of who would be the most suitable candidate for the IMM Presidency was also asked. 19.3 percent of voters and 38.7 percent of AKP members pointed to Kurum. 14 percent of voters and 17.8 percent of AKP members pointed to Koca. In third place is Göksu, and in fourth place is Soylu.
