Having determined its mayoral candidates in 10 cities, all eyes in the CHP have now turned to Istanbul's districts. While it has been learned that the party will continue with incumbent mayors in some districts, new names have also come to the fore.

Who will be nominated for Istanbul's districts in the CHP? Here is the list being discussed in the corridors...

The Republican People's Party (CHP) has accelerated its local election efforts.

Meeting yesterday (December 14) to determine its mayoral candidates, the CHP Party Assembly selected candidates for 10 cities, including 4 metropolitan municipalities.

Ekrem İmamoğlu was nominated in Istanbul, Mansur Yavaş in Ankara, Mustafa Bozbey in Bursa, Ahmet Akın in Balıkesir, and Tanju Özcan in Bolu. Meanwhile, mayoral candidates were also determined for Elazığ, Gümüşhane, Bayburt, Karaman, and Nevşehir.

ALL EYES IN THE CHP TURNED TO ISTANBUL

With the candidates determined in 10 cities, all eyes have turned to the districts of Istanbul.

According to a report by Cumhuriyet, the names that the CHP will nominate for district municipalities in Istanbul have begun to emerge.

While the names in some districts remain the same, new names have come to the fore for many others.

Some of the prominent candidates in these districts are as follows:

Adalar and Üsküdar: Sinem Dedetaş, Ataşehir: Onursal Adıgüzel, Bakırköy: Ertan Yıldız, Beşiktaş: Rıza Akpolat, Beylikdüzü: Murat Çalık, Beyoğlu: İnan Güney, Büyükçekmece: Hasan Akgün, Çatalca: Erhan Güzel, Esenyurt: Ali Gökmen, Eyüpsultan: Bülent Özmen, Fatih: Mahir Polat, Gaziosmanpaşa: Hakan Bahçetepe, Güngören: Temel Akkoç, Küçükçekmece: Kemal Çebi, Maltepe: Deniz Erzincan, Silivri: Doruk Bulut, Sultanbeyli: Ayhan Koç, Şişli: Emrah Şahan.

According to the list discussed in the corridors, while the names in the Beşiktaş, Beylikdüzü, Büyükçekmece, and Küçükçekmece districts remain the same, the candidates in other districts are changing. Among the people on the list, those who resigned from their posts on December 1 draw attention. Those names are as follows: Former CHP Deputy Chairman for Information and Communication Technologies Onursal Adıgüzel, former Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) City Lines General Manager Sinem Dedetaş, former İGDAŞ General Manager Mithat Bülent Özmen, former İBB Deputy Secretary General Mahir Polat, former Head of the Department of Cemeteries Ayhan Koç, and former Istanbul Planning Agency President Emrah Şahan.

4 COMPANIES CONDUCTING RESEARCH

On the other hand, in districts where the party is close to winning in Istanbul, survey research will be decisive in candidate profiles. The research conducted by four companies specifically for Istanbul is expected to be concluded at the end of December.
